Free Admission.

GIANT Film making is Cal's official club for filmmakers. Browsing their Youtube channel, I found some of the material as sub-par garbage that bewildered me as to how such crap was greenlit. Others were enjoyable, incorporating innovative elements to the narrative tale. Thought I'd share a few that I admired:

Let It Go.
"Leave behind everything you pretend to be, just let it go or you will never be free."

Sappy kid who can't get over the loss of his girlfriend. A weak premise but effective use of cinematography, editing and mis-en-scene.

Unbearable

A classic tale intertwined with social commentary? Go Bears.

Tour de America

Thought this was one we could all relate to. If you ever attended Cal, you know the food scene here is like cheap crab meat, ALL IMITATION. I admired the humorous sense of displacement and solace amongst the familiar. Capitalism at its finest.
